Why I’m Excited About Konga Yakata Extension

When I first saw the announcement about the Konga Yakata extension, I couldn’t help but smile. As someone who has waited all year for Nigeria’s biggest sale, knowing that the Yakata deals will now run until Saturday, December 6, 2025, felt like the perfect early Christmas gift. The Konga Yakata extension came as a direct response to the overwhelming requests from shoppers like me, and honestly, I understand why; this year’s deals have been unbelievable.

Originally, Yakata was supposed to end on November 30, but Nigerians across social media practically begged for more time. I was one of them. I only did mine in my mind. And reading the comments online, I saw thousands of people saying the same thing: “Just one more week, please.” Many needed extra time to grab essential appliances, gadgets, groceries, and early Christmas gifts at Yakata prices. With this Konga Yakata extension, we finally have it.

For most of us who receive income in the first week of the month, that November 30 deadline felt too tight. We watched unbelievable discounts pass us by, knowing we were only a few days away from being able to buy. To make things worse, several shoppers reported transfer delays during the original rush. So, in many ways, this extension came from real-life circumstances, not just excitement.

Thankfully, Konga listened. In what I believe is one of the most customer-centric decisions of the season, the e-commerce giant announced the extension as a compliment of the season, literally giving Nigerians breathing room during an expensive time of year.

Konga will maintain up to 80% off in key categories and roll out fresh deals as new inventory arrives. That means this extended week won’t just repeat the old deals, it will bring even better ones.

With December expenses piling up: holiday meals, family travel, school prep, and Christmas shopping, this extra week is a lifesaver. And the best part? Anyone who shops ₦15,000 and above still qualifies for Konga Rewards, giving shoppers a chance to win appliances, electronics, kitchen gadgets, and lifestyle items.

For me, this extension is more than just extra time. It’s an opportunity. An opportunity to finally buy that air conditioner, upgrade my smartphone, restock groceries, or even grab a Christmas gift or two before prices go up later in December.

The message is simple: the people asked, and Konga answered. Now it’s time to take advantage of it. Shop early, shop wisely, and make every day of this Konga Yakata extension count.
