The Spice Your Relationship Desperately Needs

You both go to bed at night, facing different sides like strangers. You have become strangers. Stephen has changed a lot. He is someone else. You miss him. You miss the days when your relationship was all roses. These days, it feels like you are just cohabiting. Something is wrong with your relationship and needs fixing as soon as possible, or it comes tumbling down. But fixing a relationship happens when the parties involved are intentional. That’s what Mama says. But Stephen is far from intentional. He was in the first year and the second. He was a hopeless romantic. The date nights, the gifts, the calls, the care. You were smitten by him. Now, you two are just there. You no longer trust each other. Your relationship has become anything and everything.

(Snap fingers).

Hello there, my name is Tee. But you can call me Uncle Tee (winks). Your relationship can get back to being all rosy. You both need to be intentional. You both. But it can also start with you. Let’s fix you up with some couple bonding activities to spice it all up, shall we?

Unlock that phone

Social media and technology can be major sources of trust issues for couples. Most of the time, we lock our phones with codes longer than the Third Mainland Bridge. Stop it! Unlocking your phones to give each other access to your phones is a great way to build trust.

Talk about your concerns

To put your worries behind you and move on, it’s critical to take a seat and discuss them openly and honestly. This also gives your partner a chance to show they can comfort you.

Binge-watch your favourite shows

Snuggle up on a couch and binge-watch an entire season of your favourite TV show together. Alternatively, watch films that portray genuine love and selflessness. Titanic, Me Before You, Finding You, Emma, etc. These movies will have you two holding hands without knowing it. Subscribe to Netflix here.

Play old songs

Take turns playing music hits from your teens on YouTube. This one is for those who enjoy nostalgia because it brings back memories and is a beautiful starting point for discussing one another’s pasts. Make an impromptu disco, compile a playlist, and dance as if there’s no tomorrow.

Have a phone-free evening

You would be shocked to learn how often you check your phone during a meal, let alone an evening out with your significant other. Put your phone in the other room and enjoy a great meal away from technology. You could gradually transition to a phone-free day; just inform others that you will be unavailable!

Get creative in the bedroom

Sex activities for couples are the best and the easiest bonding activities of them all. Use your fantasy and try something new in the bedroom.

Make a home spa

Light some scented candles and take turns giving massages. You can also make natural face masks with honey and fresh lemon juice.

When it comes to couple bonding activities, don’t think dull and boring. Embrace creativity and enjoy a new sense of intimacy with your partner.

Try these things, and thank Uncle Tee later.
