That Time I Missed My Flight… And Still Had the Best Trip of My Life

You know how people always say,Everything happens for a reason”? I never believed that until I missed my flight to Dubai.

Let me explain.

It was a Thursday morning—just like today—and I was meant to catch a 9:45 AM flight out of Lagos. Everything was set. My bags were packed, passport in hand, dollars ready, power bank charged (twice). I even sprayed my favouriteabroadperfume to feel extra fly.

But Lagos traffic had other plans.

I was 7 minutes late to the gate.

Seven. Agonizing. Minutes.

The airport staff were sympathetic, but sympathy doesn’t open plane doors. I felt like crying. My visa was valid, my hotel was booked, and I had plans to eat my weight in shawarma at the Dubai Marina.

While I sat on my box (literally), sulking and contemplating my life choices, I got a message from my friend Teni. She had used Konga Travel a few days before and was already living her best life in Dubai.

She texted:

“Babes, you no use Konga Travel? Dem dey run 96-hour UAE visa package now. You for flex.”

Excuse me? Free what?

Apparently, Konga Travel had this 96-hour FREE UAE Visa offer. Quick, smooth visa processing. No stories. No embassy wahala. Just vibes. And guess what? If I had used them, I might not have missed that flight.

Anyway, long story short—I didn’t give up. I might have missed the Konga Travel free 96hrs UAE deal, but I called Konga Travel right there at the airport, and realized I was just in time for “Zanzibar Eggstatic special“. They were super helpful, helped me reschedule my flight, and processed my new visa within hours. I’m not even exaggerating. I flew out the very next day.

And let me tell you, that trip? Still one of the best decisions I made.

From catching sunsets in the desert to taking those bougie pictures at the Museum of the Future, and finally swimming in that fancy infinity pool I saw on Instagram—Zanzibar delivered. And Konga Travel? They came through like a loyal bestie.

So, if you’re sitting on the fence, waiting for asignto book that trip? This is it.

Book with Konga Travel today and enjoy their Zanzibar specials this Easter.

No stress. No stories. Just pack your bags and let them handle the rest.

Because life is too short to miss flights—and even shorter to miss travel deals like this.
