October 1: The Love Voyage

Ada’s Diary – October 1, 2023

Dear Diary,

Today was supposed to be a relaxing day away from all the fashion shows, client meetings, and endless Lagos traffic. I was looking forward to some much-needed downtime on the Konga Travel Independence Day Boat Cruise. Little did I know I was stepping into a new chapter of my life.

As I boarded the boat, I immediately felt the warm, salty breeze brush against my face. The music was lively, the people were friendly, and for the first time in a while, I felt a sense of freedom. I grabbed a cocktail and wandered to the networking corner. That’s when I met Kunle.

Kunle… was charming, confident, and energetic, which drew me in. We talked about our businesses—his logistics startup and my fashion line. There was a spark there, not just in conversation but also in the way he listened and understood my challenges. I have a feeling this is just the beginning.

Kunle’s Diary – October 1, 2023

Dear Diary,.

Today was supposed to be about unwinding, nothing more. My friend practically dragged me to this Konga Travel boat cruise, and I didn’t expect much. I thought it would just be another social gathering with people I’d never see again. But then I met Ada.

She’s got this contagious laugh that immediately drew me in. Our conversation flowed effortlessly from business to life to our dreams. She spoke about her passion for African fashion and the struggles she faced in expanding her brand. I could see how my logistics company could help her. We connected on a deeper level, more than I’ve felt with anyone in a long time.

I’m not sure what will come of this, but something tells me I should hold onto her number. Maybe this was meant to be.

Ada’s Diary – December 15, 2023

Dear Diary,

Kunle and I have been working together for a few months now, and our partnership is doing wonders for my business. But it’s more than that. We’ve shared countless dinners, lengthy phone calls, and even business trips that felt more like mini-adventures. There’s something special here—something I’m not ready to label yet, but it feels like it could be the start of something beautiful.
